Braces Aberdeen

Premium treatments tailored just for you

At Visage Orthodontics, we believe there’s an exact treatment option for everyone. With 20 years of combined experience in transforming smiles, we’re equipped to provide you with the best possible results through a wide variety of cutting-edge braces.

Which type of brace is right for you?

  • Metal fixed braces – reliable and highly effective for simple and complex cases, including many NHS treatments.
  • Ceramic fixed braces – work the same way as metal braces but use tooth-coloured brackets, so they are much less noticeable.
  • Removable braces – used for some simpler tooth movements and taken out to eat and clean. Removable brace FAQs.
  • Functional appliances – such as the Twin Block, used in growing children to improve how the jaws line up. Functional appliance FAQs.

How treatment with braces works

  1. Consultation – we assess your teeth and bite and explain your options, NHS or private.
  2. Records – photos, a 3D scan and x-rays where needed, so we can plan your treatment precisely.
  3. Fitting – your brace is fitted in a single appointment. Mild soreness for a few days afterwards is normal.
  4. Adjustments – regular review appointments to keep your teeth moving as planned.
  5. Retainers – once your brace comes off, retainers protect your new smile.

Looking after your brace

Brush after meals, use a fluoride mouthwash daily and avoid hard, sticky and chewy foods that can break brackets. If something breaks or feels uncomfortable, contact us rather than waiting for your next visit. See our fixed brace FAQs.

NHS braces

Children and teenagers with a significant clinical need can have orthodontic treatment funded by the NHS, assessed using the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN). Ask your dentist to refer you. At Visage Orthodontics, NHS referrals are typically seen for an initial assessment within 2–4 weeks. Read our NHS FAQs.

How much do private braces cost?

  • Metal fixed braces – from £2,750 per arch or £4,000 for both arches
  • Ceramic fixed braces – from £3,250 per arch or £5,000 for both arches

Spread the cost with £0 deposit over up to 36 months, with 0% interest options available. See all fees and finance options.
