Is Invisalign® right for you?
Invisalign® clear aligners suit most adults and teenagers with crowded, gappy or mildly misaligned teeth, and many bite problems. Younger children can start early treatment with Invisalign First. Because every smile is different, we confirm suitability at your consultation with a full smile exam, photos, a 3D scan and, where needed, x-rays.
How Invisalign® treatment works
- Free consultation – in clinic or by video with our Treatment Coordinator. We talk through your goals, options and costs.
- 3D scan and smile simulation – a digital scan replaces messy impressions, and you can preview how your teeth are planned to move.
- Your custom aligners – you wear each set for around 1–2 weeks, as prescribed, before moving to the next.
- Check-ups – in clinic, or remotely with Dental Monitoring, so you need fewer visits.
- Retainers – once your teeth are straight, retainers keep them that way.
Living with your aligners
For the best results, aligners should be worn for about 22 hours a day. You take them out to eat, drink anything other than water, brush and floss, so there are no food restrictions.
